Kensaki Limited Edition

This pen was created specifically for the Kensaki Pen Club of Japan. Many of you may have seen the prototype at the Los Angeles Pen Show this past February.

Because of the unusual elements and extremely desirable aspects of this wonderful creation, Bexley has retained the right to market these pens in the US in addition to those pieces being prepared for the club in Japan. No more than a total of 116 serialized pieces will be produced, with approximately 58 going to each of the two countries.

Kensaki is the Japanese word for Squid, and is shown on the nib design. It is also a play on words as Pensaki is the word for Nib. This pen has a monster 8 mm nib, two tone in 18K, gargantuan and as big as they come on modern pens. These nibs were made in Germany, but are in the final stages of being hand ground by THE Japanese master nib artists!

Additional Characteristics and attributes of the pen:
1. Large capacity piston filling system, approximately 2 cc.
2. Visualated grey tinted ink viewing window.
3. Massive 18K gold violin styled clip.
4. Woodgrain cold enamel inlays in ebonite cap.
5. Screw on positive stop cap posting.
6. Ivory-like overlay on barrel bearing laser engraved inscription and serial number.
7. Crocodile black leatherette oversized packaging.

Initial reaction in February was pleasantly alarming. Nearly 35 pens were pre-ordered in Los Angeles.
